About Lanuuk
Lanuuk (pronounced la-nouk) is a London based brand established in 2018 to address the need for full coverage swimwear that does not compromise on femininity, style, quality or comfort.
Our aim is to redefine the 'traditional' concept of swimwear. Beauty is diverse and ageless and we want to empower women to feel positive about themselves and confident about their bodies.

Lanuuk is committed to ethical and sustainable manufacturing processes, maintaining a close relationship between our design and manufacturing teams, allowing control over every aspect of our supply chain and production.
All our products are produced in the Philippines wher one of our co-founders works closely with a small, family-run (majority female) manufacturing team that help bring our designs to life.
We visit the factory on a bi-weekly basis, overseeing production, processes and working conditions. This gives us the confidence knowing that we are truly producing in line with our ethics and beliefs.
We are a slow fashion brand using premium fabrics, used to create pieces that can we worn and loved for many years to come. When you shop with Lanuuk, you can be confident that we are not mass producing products to the detriment of working conditions and quality. This is reflected in the price of our products.

Currently we do not have a physical store but all of our products are available on lanuuk.com and we ship worldwide! Some of our collection is also available on Ounass.com and at Galeries Lafayette in Doha and Wolf & Badger.
All of our products are produced in the Philippines. The Lanuuk office and warehouse are based in London, UK.

Our products
Our Lula, Mira, Serena and Taali swim dresses have a built in bodysuit and removable bra cups. These swim dresses are one-piece styles and can be worn with or without swim bottoms. You do not need to wear anything underneath these styles.
Our Cape, Isla, Diana and Maya swim dresses are open swim dresses and do not have a built in bodysuit or removable padding/chest support. These swim dresses are made to attach to any of our swim bottoms with an adjustable secure button tab (to prevent floating/riding up in the water).
For comfort and support, we would also recommend the Lanuuk bikini, specifically designed to be worn underneath the open swim dresses as the bikini bottoms can attach to the swim dress with the secure button tab.
Our Cape, Isla, Diana and Maya swim dresses attach to any of our swim bottoms with an adjustable secure button tab. This is to prevent the swim dress from floating/riding up in the water and exposing your torso.
Our Lula, Mira, Serena and Taali swim dresses are full one-piece bodysuit swim dresses and do not need to attach to the swim bottoms as there is no risk of exposure if the swim dress were to lift.
You may notice a button on your swim bottoms, with nothing to attach it to on the Lula, Mira, Serena and Taali swim dresses. This is because all of our swim bottoms are produced with a button in case you wish to pair it with a Diana or Maya swim dress.
We are pleased to say all of our fabrics are certified OEKO-TEX Standard 100.

We are very fortunate that our stock is fast moving and so we cannot guarantee a product will remain in stock!
If a product or selected size is out of stock, you can sign up for a notification on the product page and you will receive an email when the product is restocked.

No, our headpieces are not waterproof. Our headpieces are made in a lightweight and quick-drying fabric, designed for hair coverage.
If you would like to keep your hair dry whilst swimming, we would recommend wearing a swimming cap underneath your headpiece.
You will note from the title and decription of a product whether it is sold as an individual piece (e.g. Swim Dress) or a full set (e.g. Swim Set).
Most of our products are sold as separates giving you the flexibility to mix and match the sizes, styles and colours of the Swim Dress and Swim Bottoms to build your perfect Swim Set.
Some of the products in the Classic Collection are still sold as a full set with the corresponding size Swim Dress and Swim Tights. But there are some products that are sold as separates. For products that are sold as sets, we are unable to mix and match the size of the Swim Dress and Swim Tights within a set.
All activewear pieces are sold separately.
All headpieces are sold separately for you to choose your style and colour, mix and match and find what's most comfortable for you.
To ensure the longevity of your product, you can find detailed care and washing instructions on our Fabric and Product Care guide. We would recommend reading this in full to understand your fabrics and how to care for your Lanuuk product.
For swimwear, in short, we do recommend hand washing in cold water and avoiding any harsh chemicals or detergents. If possible, drip dry your swimsuit in the shade (do not tumble dry!) and do not iron it. If your swimsuit becomes creased, the creases usually fall away once it is wet and is left to dry flat.
Lanuuk Swimwear is only sold on lanuuk.com, and a small number of authorised resellers (Bloomingdales Dubai, Bloomingdales Kuwait, Ounass, Galeries Lafayette, Wolf and Badger and Sunsibility) . We are aware of other websites and pages copying our designs and using our imagery.
All of our products are our original designs that we create from scratch. We take great pride in our original designs, the quality of our products, the way in which they are produced and the high level of customer service that we provide.
To ensure that you are purchasing a genuine Lanuuk product, made by us, please purchase directly from lanuuk.com or and authorised retailer.

Fit & sizing
Inclusivity is very important to us, which is why we offer inclusive sizing from 2XS-3XL (UK size 20) across our range.
We have worked hard to design products that look and feels good on a range of body types and we continue to refine our sizing to ensure that our swimwear is true to size and inclusive.
All of our styles and colours are available in sizes XS-2XL and select styles and colours are available in additional sizes 2XS and 3XL.
You can also scroll through the photos in the product gallery to see our swimwear worn on different sized models with a note of their size specifications in the description on the product page.
We would recommend taking your bust and waist measurements and comparing these to our size chart. Our size chart also provides instructions on how to measure yourself.

Our products are generally true to size but each style fits differently on different body types. The descriptions on the product pages will give more details of the fit of each particular style.
Our fit and modesty guide also provides more information on each style and how they fit to the body.

We would only recommend sizing up if you are in between sizes (or at the very top of a size bracket) or require a looser or more modest fit.
At present we do not have any styles specifically designed for pregnant women but many of our styles work well for pregnancy.
Due to the peplum skirt, the Serena swimsuit is very flattering as it skims over a pregnant belly.
The Taali is designed as a loose/relaxed fit and would fit comfortably over a growing bump.
Our Cape, Isla, Diana and Maya swim dresses are open swim dresses and should fit over the bump comfortably.
The Mira and Taali styles both have front zips and are perfect if you are considering a Swimsuit that will provide easy access for nursing/breastfeeding.
You may want to size up if you are looking for a Swimsuit to accommodate your bump and fit throughout pregnancy however, our fabrics are stretchy and should accommodate some growing room.

Orders & payment
Yes. Our checkout page uses SSL and we do not keep your payment details logged on any of our systems. We offer several online payment methods and PayPal.
You can send the team an email at contact@lanuuk.com with your order number to request an amendment or cancellation. Please note this cannot be guaranteed.
If your order has been prepared for dispatch, we will contact our packing team to see if we can amend/cancel your order and issue a refund.
You can click the ‘view my order’ link in your order confirmation email to see the status of your order at any time.
Unfortunately we are unable to process your order unless this has been paid for in full via our website.
We offer several online payment methods and PayPal but we do not offer cash on delivery.
You can enter your discount code during the first stage of checkout.

Our products are priced in British Pounds (£), and prices in alternative currencies are displayed based on the prevailing rate (plus a small conversion fee).

You can also shop from one of our authorised resellers including Bloomingdales Dubai, Bloomingdales Kuwait, Ounass, Galeries Lafayette Doha and Wolf & Badger.

Delivery times are estimated in working days, from the date of dispatch. All orders are dispatched within 3 working days of placing your order.
We use a range of carriers depending on the destination, as we ship worldwide.
Below are a selection of carriers that we use (please note that these carriers may pass your package on to a local carrier once it reaches your destination):
- UK – Royal Mail, Evri, Yodel, Packfleet, DHL, UPS
- EU – DPD, DHL, UPS, FedEx
- GCC – DPD, Aramex, DHL

Once your parcel is dispatched, you will receive tracking information from the carrier (usually by email). Please follow your tracking link to see the status of your delivery.
You can also click the ‘view your order’ link in your order confirmation email at any time to access your tracking link.
You may need to pay import duties/local taxes and handling charges on delivery to countries outside the UK.
Please note all customers are responsible for settling any import duties/local taxes and handling charges. These are not included in our shipping costs.
We have no control over these charges and we cannot advise what the charges will be as these are calculated by the carrier at your delivery destination based on the type of goods, their country of origin (Philippines) and their declared value.
Please check your local rules to determine whether local charges will be payable and contact the local carrier if there are any issues.

Delivery times are estimated in working days, from the date of dispatch. We do our best to ensure that all parcels are delivered in a timely manner but sometimes there may be delays that are out of our control.
If your parcel has not been delivered within the expected time frame, please visit your tracking link to see the status of your delivery.
If your parcel has reached the destination country/the local depot, please allow an additional 2-3 working days for your delivery to arrive before contacting us. If there are further delays, please send an email to contact@lanuuk.com so that we can raise an investigation with the courier.
Please ensure that you respond to any requests for payment of local taxes/duties in good time to avoid your parcel being delayed through the customs clearance process. Please also ensure that you respond to any requests for further information (address queries, local ID requests) from the courier to avoid any further delays to your delivery.
If a parcel is rejected/returned to us due to the non-payment of import duties/local taxes by the customer, a refund will only be issued once the parcel has been returned to us.
All customers are responsible for the original shipping charges, any import fees that are incurred on the package, and the cost of returning the package to Lanuuk. This amount will be deducted from your product refund once the parcel has been returned.
Please note that forced returns can take up to 12 weeks to reach us and we are not responsible for your return. Please follow your original tracking link to view the status of your return. Thank you!

Returns & refunds
At Lanuuk we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchases and we offer all customers the option to make a return within 14 days of receipt of your order.
We offer one free return for UK customers (on non-promotional orders). If you are a UK customer, please submit a return request via our Returns Portal.
We unfortunately cannot offer free returns for non-UK customers at this time. Please send us an email at contact@lanuuk.com for instructions on how to return an item.

Unfortunately, we do not offer exchanges. However, you can return your order within 14 days of receipt of your parcel (in line with our returns policy) and place another order for the product of your choice at your own convenience.
This depends on the service used.
For UK customers, returns usually take around 3-5 working days to reach our warehouse from the date that you send it back to us.
For international customers, this will depend on the service that you have chosen to return your items. We are not responsible for your return until it is delivered to our warehouse. We would recommend that you choose a trackable service so that you are able to see the status of your parcel.
All returns are unpacked and inspected within 10 working days of receipt at our warehouse. Provided the return meets all of our return conditions, we will process your return and issue your refund alongside an email to notify you of this.
Once we have issued a refund for returned items, please allow up to 5 working days for the refund to be reflected back to your original payment method.
